Who are we?
CharACTers is a group of like minded people working together in a quest to sustain and grow the cultural enrichment and education of Northeast Alabama.
Becoming a Friend of CharACTers through your contribution allows you to support arts education, performance, and scholarships offered by CharACTers. You can provide financial and physical support in several areas.
The quality of CharACTers’ performances, educational programs, and outreach could help to make Gadsden a premier cultural arts destination in the region.
We cannot rely on ticket sales alone to attract the best performers, productions, instructors, audience members, and offer the arts enrichment this community has come to expect.
Your generous contribution will provide the additional financial support needed to make all this possible through scholarships, arts education, community outreach, and by bringing an even higher quality of theatre to our local stage. The high standards of our arts initiatives will reflect your generous giving.
Be a part of creating the arts you want to see. No community can have an arts presence without the support of patrons. We can do much more together than one of us can do alone. Arts make a culture. How do I become a Friend?
If you have attended one of our many events each year, you are already one of our FRIENDS! As you know, CharACTers offers a full range of quality arts activities including live theatrical performances, community projects, and arts education that feature music, dance, and acting classes for children throughout Northeast Alabama. None of these arts events would be possible without support from our FRIENDS through ticket sales and special gifts. Those who give annual special gifts as our Friends of CharACTers receive special benefits and recognition.
Friends of CharACTers are patrons who have gone the extra mile by donating above and beyond buying a ticket to a performance! Sponsorshipss begin with a contribution as low as $50 per year. Benefits increase with the size of your donation.
Friends of CharACTers has levels that include individuals, organizations, small businesses, and large corporations.
As always, we are humbled and thankful for the support given to us by all our sponsors. Your gift not only allows us to continue to share the Magic that is Theatre with the citizens of Northeast Alabama but also helps us continue the tradition and is an investment in the future of our community.
We are willing to adjust any benefits to best suit your philanthropic and marketing objectives.

Program Advertisement

Before a performance begins at CharACTers, most audience members are looking at their playbills. And unless they go to the lobby during intermission, they are looking at them again! If your business is interested in reasonably priced advertising that makes an impact on readers, please consider advertising in our playbills.
Season ads will appear in all 7 of our season’s programs. They will be handed out during ALL public performances reaching a captive audience. And don’t forget about pass along readership once the programs leave our theatre!
Individual ad space is available to businesses who would like to advertise only for certain shows. The remaining shows in our 2012 Season are Peter Pan, and Annie. Our 2013 Season will be feature some of Broadway's BIGGEST HITS! See the home page for complete show listing.
Submissions for Season Rates for the 2013 Season must be submitted by February 1st, 2013. All advertisements are black and white unless noted.
Playbill advertising lets your customers know you are a supporter of the local arts and that your business helps to keep CharACTers ticket prices affordable.

Sponsorship Wall:
Wall will be displayed inside the theatre for a single run of a show. Names and/or logos will be displayed on one of three sections depending on level of sponsorship. Names and/or logos sizes will go from small to large depending on level of sponsorship.

Tickets will be mailed to patrons in January 2012.
Season ticket holders will be notified of any changes, specials, or extra events through emails or phone calls.
